Believe in Yourself: The potential is possible

Maybe you'll be able to relate... in 2009 I heard about a product called Exfuse. It was direct sales and I knew NOTHING about the industry.

All I knew was I'd potentially get paid to share the products with others!!! I believed in it, personally used it and loved it, so I felt like that would be simple!! A friend of mines' Mom had sold a similar product. She'd passed away and my friend still got a paycheck each month for it.

That's when I learned about legacy money.

I quickly learned that as excited as I was about the product, it was not easy to get people to invest in their health.

Fast Forward to 2011.

A friend of mine told me about a skincare product!!! She was already making big checks and earning trips!!! At that point, Alan and I'd been married 8 years and had only gone on trip, just the two of us, since our Honeymoon. The potential to 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 a trip sounded REALLY freaking awesome!!!!!

I had recently moved here to Utah and was using various methods to help people test the product. It wasn't working and I didn't know what I was doing. I believed my youth and not needing the product yet, and people in Utah being "cheap" , kept me from having success.

I walked away and said I would 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 do something like that again.

I was constantly looking for ways to work from home and help contribute to our family's income.

I took a medical billing course.

I tried to sell cell phone plans with a company called Solvei. I sewed girls headbands.

I was searching for purpose.

Yes, being a Mom gives purpose, but I wanted more. Needed more.

In my church I had responsibilities and leadership opportunities, so that fulfilled so many of my desires for purpose.

When those ended, I felt fairly empty.

Fast Forward again to 2016.

A friend started posting about lipstick! I've always loved lipstick, but never wore it because the hubby wouldn't kiss me with it on!!

After watching a fast play video of her eating an ice cream cone and the lipstick stayed on, I decided it was time to try it out for myself!!

She delivered it on the day we were laying sod in our backyard!!! She told me she'd have to teach me how to put it on... There really was the need... I had no idea!!!

I put it on, she left saying if I loved it, I should consider selling it!!!

I gave the response she probably dreaded!! I said, "oh there's NO WAY I'll ever do something like that again, but thanks!"

6 hours later, I was getting out of the shower, looked in the mirror and saw that the lipstick was still 𝙤𝙣. Not only was it on, but it still looked 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿

I was on the phone with her 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 night asking about the business!!! I told my husband I'd want more, so I might as well sell it!!!

The company had a 3-month bonus program that I earned in 6 weeks!!! I was so thrilled and feeling like I was going to rise to the top.

I had an upline that taught about the industry and gave great trainings and set up awesome trainings by others.

This whole new world opened up to me!!!

After about 6 months the company started going thru some growing pains. I stayed positive and optimistic but realized I wasn't where I belonged. I knew the industry was the right place, but I needed a different vehicle.

I'd learned about my current company at a small town boutique. At the time I was 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣 with my lipstick biz, so I didn't give it much thought. But the gal reached out and asked if I'd host a party!!

Bam.

2 days into the party, I remember going to the backyard where my hubby was fixing a sprinkler head, and I said, "what would you think of I joined this home fragrance company?" His response, "Really, Chami? Another one?" I told him yes! I really loved it and believed I could do big things with this business. He asked if I had money from my lipstick biz to pay for this new biz! I told him YES, and that was that!!!

I got my Kit a few days later and I remember Alan and I smelling the samples together!! He was like, these are awesome!!! He liked more of the scents than I did!!!

Here I am, almost 6 years later, and I still 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 it!!!

I've found purpose. I've gained leadership opportunities. I get to train and speak and teach! I've made lifelong friendships and people that have become family who I'd have NEVER met if it weren't for this business and industry.

I've always loved personal development and learned more about myself these last 6 years than I could have ever imagined.

I'm so proud of the ways I've grown, but even more proud of the ways I've seen my teammates grow!!!! (You know who you are!)

I'm 𝙨𝙤 grateful.

This has become a novel!!!

If you're still with me, here's the deal.

Supposedly, we're in a "rolling recession." 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 could use some extra income.

Maybe you've had a few bad experiences like I did. Maybe you've said you will 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 again...

I get it. I get 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

The two questions each of you will ask is, "Can I do it?" and "Is it worth it?".

𝙔𝙚𝙨 you can. Absolutely. And you don't have to be salesy or outgoing!!!

𝙔𝙚𝙨, it's worth it!!! Yes, you'll bring in additional income, but I feel like the other aspects are even more rewarding!!!!

My coach, friend, and mentor Rob Sperry says, "Compensation always catches up to skillset and effort but is almost always MASSIVELY delayed ..."

The potential is possible.

But it does take work and effort.

I can teach you the skills. So if you've got the desire and determination, let's go!!! Let's make it happen!!!

Ignore the voices in your head saying you can't, you aren't capable, you .... whatever.

Take a chance on 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 in yourself!!!!

Because I'll believe in 𝙮𝙤𝙪.
